I've done a lot of traveling in the past year and here are some of my thoughts about it:
When there I'm boxed in (like they teach you to avoid in Drivers Ed) it really freaks me out.
More semis should be air ride equipped because it would really help me with the alphabet game.
Maybe not all drivers that I think are drunk are actually drunk, maybe they are just handing their kids crackers in the backseat.
Pack lots of snacks so you can go from salty to sweet to fruit to dairy and back again.
Dress your kids in clothes you couldn't care less about.
Seriously, the left lane is for passing, not just sitting in if you think you are going really fast.
Keeping your cool in stand still traffic is near impossible.
Usually crying doesn't last more than 15 minutes if you ignore it.
It is always worth it to travel- refreshing change of scenery, closer family bonds, and adventures!

The salt/sweet/fruit/dairy equation is like the golden rule of snacking.
So glad you went through all that just to be with us. :) You're a hero! We had so much fun with you & definitely am feeling closer to you. I don't know if we've ever spent more than an hour one-on-one, so it was totally worth it. :)
Seriously, Carrie! It was amazing bonding time. It is easier to do that when we don't have to share!
