These shoes weren't made for walking

So, I went to a fancy running store that my sister-in-law recommended.  And it was definitely worth it.  They watched me run and found out that I "over pronate," which basically means I need some arch support.
I got to try on a bunch of different shoes and run in them to see if they felt right. And I ended up with these:

They are called Storm Electric Violet Lightening.  Pretty sure they make me run faster.  And my knees feel much better too.

Girly Accessories

One of things we're getting used to having a little girl is playing dress up.  Sundays are the perfect occasion for this.  For the record, Jared was also looking great this day, but he is much better at escaping.

I just put some dye into the ice cube tray and let Jared have at it!

It was a good half hour of fun.

Oh, and later we put what was leftover of the ice cubes into the bath with Jared and that was another round of fun.  Now he request to have ice in all of his baths!

Reasons I love Ken (in no particular order)

• He's very good at back rubs, both technique and timing
• He loves our children.  So much that I could get jealous
• He is technologically handy.  He keeps our computers functioning and always knows what cables to use.
• He is does the little chores to make my life easier.
• He takes care of the kids, while I go exercising.
• He smells nice
• He puts up with my quirks
• He makes family a priority.  If I tell him I need him, he will be there.
• He doesn't mind my hair cuts
• He raves about my cooking, even when it is mediocre.
• He doesn't complain about his responsibilities.
• He works to fill my life with good days.

Bubs

The other day I glanced at my daughter, who was playing happily on the floor.

That's right.  My daughter looks like (in certain outfits) like Bubs, the beloved Concession stand owner from Homestarrunner.
Good thing he is one of my favorites!

Our new place

We love our new apartment here.  The additional square footage makes a lot of difference. 

 

 A living room with room for Jared to really play!  And we love our new couches.  They are comfy and they aren't falling apart.

 

 Our dining room decorated for Valentines day.  Now our table doesn't have to be in our living room.

When we moved in I saw that our oven is the same one I remember having growing up.  The exact same model!  It is a little old, but it is almost twice as wide as our last one.

Our tiny little laundry room with our washer and dryer.  No more hauling laundry for us.

It is definitely starting to feel like home.  We've started making our own stains in the carpet and now we can remember where we put the playdough.  We'll definitely be happy here for a few more years!
