This morning Ken was rushing around trying to find his socks which were missing. I was suggesting a few places that it could be- couch, bed, etc.
Jared said, "I think it's in your dress up box!"
It took us a bit to realize that he meant a dresser.
Truly, it is a shame that he is old enough that we have an obligation to teach him the right words...

We still call hotels 'bed-house' from something Doug or Rachel said on a trip a long time ago. You can teach the words everybody else uses but keep the unique vocabulary of your family.
I'm calling my dresser a dress-up box now. Maybe I'll be more inclined to use it.
