Funny Little Jared

Instead of saying, "Kindest mother, would you please help me put the cereal away if you have the time?"  he says, "Take it away!" like a cute little tyrant.

He puts his own underwear back on now.  Though they are frequently backwards and inside out.

Sometimes we have to let Rosie cry herself to sleep.  Jared absolutely hates it.  He yells from their room, "Wosies cwying!  Come help her!  She is sad!"  If this does not elicit a response from us, he begins fake crying and says, "Ouch, my foot!" until we come in to check on him and then he lets us know that Rosie is crying and that we ought to help.

Dancing is (ideally) mostly spinning for Jared.

He is obsessed with birthdays.  Ken and I both have birthdays in May and then there has also been Mother and Fathers Days.  Hardly a day goes by without a request for cake or candles or wondering if it is "Dewed's berfday?" (Jared's birthday)

We got him a kickboard to help him learn how to swim/ not be afraid of the water.  He likes it, but will only refer to it as his skateboard.

He is helpful and loves putting things away.  If the scissors, my wedding ring or some laundry is out of place, he makes sure to set it right.  Don't worry, he also thinks that all of the toys need to be spread out every day.

He says, "Your bet!" instead of saying, "You bet!"

Sometimes when I am angry (gasp!), Jared says "You're not angry, you are happy!"  And then he gives me this smile like he hopes that works. :)

When we get the Ensign and Friend (Mormon magazines) in the mail, he is thrilled.  He doesn't like when I read his magazine without him there.  Oh, and also, a few months ago after reading one of the stories in there he gained a fear of roosters that is just starting to wear off.

He also overuses the "oo" sound; he says "Sooda" for soda and "Koos" for kiss.  So sweet!

I love this post! What a cute little man! I remember being the oldest and my bedroom was always right beneath the baby's. It's hard to hear your little siblings cry! Kids don't understand the whole "they just need to cry" thing. I would sneak upstairs and play with my little siblings until they would smile, and my mom used to get so mad! Sweet little Jared. =)

Cute post! You should come and visit us! Our neighbor has chickens and roosters! Maybe Jared would enjoy chasing them???

That's cute. We have kickboards and Eli refers to his as a keyboard.
