Number 2

Last summer Jared pretty much potty trained with "wet."  He had almost no accidents and some pretty awesome bladder control for a 2 year old.  However, there were a lot of "stinky" accidents.  Like four or five accidents a day.  I was not handling the loose bowel situation well and it was starting to affect our relationship, so we put diapers back on and decided to try again after we moved and added another baby to the family.
About a month ago, things were as calm as they were going to get, so we tried it again.  Bribing with chocolate chips and stickers, which lead to the ultimate bribe of a new train.  The very day that I made him the sticker chart (below) he told me he wanted to get Gordon.  We talked about Gordon so often, eventually he did what he had to do to bring him home from the store!

Once we got there though he decided that he wanted Percy!  Ha ha!
Anywho, our diaper budget is slashed and now we're just trying to teach him to wait until he gets to the bathroom to take his underwear off!

yay! I seriously think potty training is the hardest thing I have had to teach my kids. It can be so frustrating. I'm glad you are having success!

Congratulations Jared. Good luck with the underwear issue. Henry has been potty trained for 6 months and we are still working on that.

Yay for being potty trained! We have been having a lot less success with the keep-your-underwear-on training, so I cannot help you with that part.

That's great! Good work Jared, and congrats to you for slashing your diaper bill! :) I wish Hunter would fall for that strategy. No amount of treats or stickers or toys makes him care AT ALL- and it's most frustrating because he's already done it 7 times, so I know he CAN.
