Bountiful Baskets

Okay. So there is this thing called Bountiful Baskets that I do. It is a food co-op. Now, I don't exactly know what a co-op is, but I sign up on this website to get local and regional produce at about half price. And it is awesome.
So, I sign up on Monday and the next Saturday morning I pick up a basket full of fruit and veggies. Now I don't get to choose what I get, but it is always changing. This means I get to learn how to cook new foods like persimmons, plantains, collard greens, Brussels sprouts and those sorts of things.
This is what we got this weekend:

From my best estimate this is all worth around $40 and I paid $21.50. Really cool right?
There are locations in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and Arizona.
Seriously, if you live in one of these areas you should check it out. It is financially worth it and also has that community/environmental do-good-y feeling.

I just might do that. What if you want them every other week, though? or if you don't want so much? Can you choose those things? Reason: I only spend like, $10/wk on produce.

Yeah, you sign up on a week by week basis; it is not like a subscription or anything. We do every other week because it is a lot of food.

I wish they had one where we are! I didn't know you were still doing this. Cool Kels!
