Last Sunday, we finally got together with some of our freshman year friends. Jacob was Ken's roommate and Clarissa was my neighbor and Ken's FHE sister. And despite these close relations, Ken hadn't seen their three month old baby girl yet. It was really wonderful to play games and talk with them after so long.
But the big exciting update for today is our fun CAMPING TRIP. Our ward planned a camping trip down in the Unita National forest. It was close, beautiful, and perfect for getting to know the other ward members better.
We drove down with the Hepworths.
Me and Abi Jo
The Park family
The Sawadas with the Bishop
The crazy Bowens (She's due in two weeks!)
Foil dinners
Hammock fun (we brought it to perhaps sleep in, but it ended up being a fun toy for the kids!)
Hygiene
Our campsite
Morning hair
Morning marshmallow
Breakfast
Today, Ken and I went to the start of the freedom festival at the Marriott Center. It featured a local rabbi, Stephen R. Covey, Michael Ballam, and Glenn Beck. The evening was very patriotic and was centered on what they called the core American values: family, freedom, God and country. Afterwards, we tried to get to the floor to meet some of the people there, but by the time we got down from our spot (where we had our first date and where Ken proposed) all the famous people were gone. It's understandable as the Marriott was filled!

How could you have a blog that me or your brother don't even know about!? I just found you through Peter's new blog. You crazy kids! I love it, and I'll be checking it often, so keep it up! Love you guys!
So just thought I'd let you know that I found your blog and added it to my RSS feed so I can see when you update! A belated welcome to the blogging world. The ward camping trip was tons of fun. Also it makes for a funny story that I went into labor 2 days after we got back!
