Mini Bowling

When Grandma Ross was here, we discovered mini bowling on our rainy Labor Day.
A local bowling alley has these shorter lanes designed just for children. And you use smaller bowling balls and you don't have to rent shoes! It is perfect for our family. (Well, it was pretty loud that day, so Grandma took Norah out of the buzzing, whirring chaos of the bowling alley/ arcade/ mini golfing/ bumper carts.

We are definitely going to be going again!

Life is like a Bowl of Tomatoes

Yum. Fresh tomatoes are 10x better than store bought.

This may well be our last tomato harvest (The frost is nigh!)

Having a garden has most definitely been worth it! And next year, maybe I'll even be able to bend and reach the weeds!

Babies are great

Norah is a great baby sister. She holds still and doesn't complain about anything her siblings do.

Yet.

End of Summer Zoo Trip

While Grandma Ross was here, we decided to take a trip to the zoo before Jared went back to school.

Played in the new sandbox area

Norah and I took a break

 She was delightful

 Camels

 Koi

 Grandma is a great photographer!

Barn owl

Rosie worked up the courage to reach out and touch the goat with her brush

And this one didn't want anyone to leave!

 Train ride!

You can barely see the river otter just to Jared's right. It really looks like one of the underwater branches.

After three summers of going to the zoo, I finally saw the red panda!

 Traditional  tortoise statue picture!

Crazy Days

More children than hands!

This was one night, when I was putting the kids down by myself. Norah was exhausted and Rosie and Jared were desperately vying for the last few minutes of my attention  for the day. I satisfied them with a few pictures with the kindle, but Norah was less than happy with being moved around. Perhaps, I too was a little exhausted at this point.

The happy ending to the story is that they all slept soon afterwards!

The End!

Baby cave

Norah and I often catch an afternoon nap together. (Thanks to one great mother-in-law!) To get her to sleep, it helps to drape a blanket over her head.
We do try to avoid suffocation and give her a bit of air circulation. It is so wonderful to peek in on her while she sleeps!
