One Month Old

Today Jared turned one month and he is a very sweet boy! He is starting to smile more and his neck is very strong (especially when he's mad).
I had him weighed and he is now 9 lbs 7oz and is doing just great.
We love having him in our lives!

Other times...

And on occasion, he is quite cranky.

But I still really do think that his cry is pretty sweet.

Mellow Jared

This is what he is like when he is pretty calm.

Vance and Annalisa's Wedding

This last weekend my sister got married! She is no longer a Kindt and is now a Murray. We had so much fun over the weekend celebrating with family (old and new). Rehearsal dinner, pictures, luncheon, reception, refreshments! And best of all, my sister is very happy!

Naps

We love napping and are getting better and better at it.

Family Pictures

Here are our first family pictures that Vance took for us last Sunday.

The last two are up because we couldn't figure out how to be candid all at once.

Wedding Ring

Today was really wonderful! This evening I was finally able to put my wedding ring on! It had been about two months and it feels sooooooo good to put on that symbol of our love on while looking at the other (squishier and more expensive) symbol of our love.
Also, now hopefully people won't feel the need to pity the single mother!

Baby Laundry

So far today, Ken and I have discovered several reasons why babies go through so many clothes.
  • Spit up- they spit up even if you burp them, even an hour after they've been fed and they do it on everything near them
  • Messy diapers- they leak
  • Sweat- babies really don't need to wear that many layers
  • Urine- sometimes babies decide that the best time to relieve themselves is when their diaper is off and this often prompts parents to finally give him his first bath.
  • Food- and sometimes new mothers drop food on their babies and they get sticky
Just kidding about the last one, but I wouldn't be surprised if that is what happens this afternoon!
