May Day

My birthday was last week and I had a great time in Park City with family! Thanks to Emily for the delicious food and Joe and Carrie for coming up to visit.

Just finishing breakfast

New floor

Two years ago, management replaced our carpets. It was unpleasant to have to move everything out of our apartment, but nice to have clean, new carpets. This week, they replaced our linoleum. It is awesome; definitely an update and not just a change. And it doesn't smell as bad as the carpet glue did.
I love that we get really nice, schedule updates to our home. BYU is a great landlord!

Blackout curtains

I made these! Jared is a bit light sensitive when he sleeps and now his naps are about 45 minutes longer, which is awesome. The curtains are pretty straight and that is satisfying. If anyone wants to make some, black-out fabric is pretty cheap and available at any fabric store. Worth it.

What a surprise

There will be no photos for this blog.
So, last Tuesday night Jared was getting into things he oughtn't, so I decided to distract him with the potty. He sat down bare-bottomed and went!
I couldn't believe it! I stared, then shouted and jumped and danced!
To make a long story short, he went pantsless for the next several days in our house and wore pants only (no underwear or diapers underneath) outdoors. Over this past week he has had only had a couple accidents and none of those accidents have been in public! Now he only wears diapers when he is sleeping and wears underwear only in the house. Yes, friends, he only uses two diapers a day.
It is one of the best things that has happened to me since he started sleeping through the night! I know this is not a useful or instructional tale (it is just plain luck), but I just had to share my delight.
